Though the Rangely Moms group tries to meet needs in the community, its reach can extend even further than that. One opportunity available now is providing for some of the specific needs of Michaela Fulk and her baby girl, due in April. A close friend of Rangely Moms Publicity Chair Tarrah Patch, Michaela, along with husband Cody and their five children, moved to the town of Kotido in northeastern Uganda in October 2010. (more…)
Ward shares nutrition advice with Moms January 23, 2011
As a mom herself, CNCC science instructor and nutritionist Sarah Ward knows a thing or two about feeding kids well. At January’s meeting, she gave over 20 moms insight to the nutritional needs of their babies, toddlers, and older kids, not to mention how moms can better care for themselves in the process. (more…)

Next week’s Moms meeting about nutrition, along with my being six months pregnant, has me thinking a lot lately about food. That, and chisels.
If you know me at all, you understand that eating the right things is something I struggle with, even when I’m not brewing children. And though ramping up my health for another’s sake is more incentive than ever, I still find myself chalking up a measly one or two fruit and veggie servings a day and slinking over to the Nutty Bars when no one’s around.
